What is the Event Room?

The Event Room is your single source for all information relating to a given event, sometimes referred to as a Virtual Command Centre and provides an Overview or Common Operating Picture for stakeholders.


Where do I find the Event Room?

  1. Click the Event Rooms tab in the Navigation Bar.

  2. To enter the event room for a specific event, click the Event Card with the corresponding event name.

  3. You are now in the event room.


What are the components of the Event Room?

Event Name

The event name is located at the top left of the Event Room.

Selecting the arrow next to the event name, enables you to switch between event rooms for your existing events.


Library

The library houses the iluminr threat severity matrices, active threat alerts and Communications Templates.


Profile / Settings

In the top right of the page, the profile button enables you to access the General Settings.


Date & Time

The current date and time, set by the time zone of the device you are using to access iluminr, is displayed to the right of the lock icon.


Private Event Toggle

A private event is visible to the team you activated when creating the event. Learn more at How do I use Private Events?. This action cannot be reversed! Once an Event is made Private, it will remain Private.


Situation Reports

Situation Reports are regularly updated to capture key events from around the world, and trending discussions from the Catalyst Community. Learn more at Get to know Situation Reports.


Share Event Dashboard

The share feature enables you to send a link to the recipient(s) providing read-only access to the board. The link will expire based on the timeframe selected. Learn more at How do I share event information?.


New Event

Proactively creating an Event Room in iluminr allows you to conduct a quick incident assessment and track relevant information. No one in your team will be notified unless the situation escalates and you decide to activate or notify your response team. Learn more at How do I create an event?


Incident Assessment

Incident Assessments assist in identify the incident level of an event and should be one of the first things you do when you are alerted about a potential threat. Learn more at How do I complete an Incident Assessment?


Impact Assessment

Impact Assessments assist in identifying the future consequences of an event and should be one of the first things you do when you are alerted about a potential threat. Learn more at How do I complete an Impact Assessment?


Map

A map identifying the location/s impacted by the event.
